Ms. Cato, a former Miss Black Tennessee & Miss Black USA, is a native of Nashville, TN, and an alumna of Tennessee State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. During her matriculation she excelled on the dean's list and was head majorette for the Aristocrat of Marching Bands. The former JET Beauty of the Week also earned a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education from the University of Connecticut and is a member of the prestigious Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. The mother of two beautiful daughters prides herself as an entrepreneur. She works as a licensed Realtor, model/actor and is founder of the Intellectual Beauty Calendar and co-founder of StarChylde Entertainment. Ms. Cato accepts this challenging appointment with great honor and enthusiasm``This opportunity is full circle for me. I've been in many pageants and have won some and have lost some. The experience has made me a strong, confident, determined person as a whole. As an advocate for higher education, I'm extremely motivated and look forward to working with talented, educated young women and assisting them with being successful in all their endeavors.'
